192 Miles to Buffalo NY - the end of the Erie Canal
Welcome to Baldwinsville, NY
We were off to an early start going the 20 miles across Oneida Lake to Brewerton, NY where we stopped briefly to top off our fuel tank. From there we moved on down the West half of the Erie Canal, where the shore line is mostly occupied by homes and cottages. When we reached Lock 24 (10 more to go) in Baldwinsville, NY the lockmaster told us the great things about the town and all that it has to offer. Eventhough it was still fairly early we decided to make the town our home for the night. We did some shopping, and we took a swim in the Seneca River. This nice town turned out to meet and even exceed our expectations of a great stop over.
