Today we made the last 8 miles and passed through the last 6 locks of the Trent-Severn Waterway. Most were less than a mile apart, and took less then 3 hours. What a beauty this is. We have been suprised by the lack of other boaters the whole way. Other then the locks today, when we were accompanied by two other boats, it was rare to have another boat in the locks with us, or even pass more then a half dozen boats in a day. We sure enjoyed the last 240 miles on the waterway. We hate leaving it behind, but again we're anxious to find out what lies ahead. We're moored in a marina at the "Gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway, and at the edge of the Bay of Quinte, in the NE corner of Lake Ontario We'll be spending the rest of the day getting laundry done, fuel (31 gls. for the 240 miles - not bad!), groceries, and Nancy is getting a haircut. Tomorrow we'll head for Kingston, Ont. where we will start on the Rideau Canal. More on that one later. The Rideau Canal will bring us to Ottawa, the capital of Canada.
