Little fact sheet on the Rideau

We started and finished the day with a swim in the water. The weather has warmed up considerably and a dip in the water is great. We went over the highest point, Lake Rideau, and are now on our way down. The red/green bouys are now reversed with the green ones on starboard or the right side. It does keep you on your toes a bit, many bouys mark some very shallow and tight spots. We were planning on spending the night in Portland, Ont., but after stopping at the marina for fuel, we decided we've come to appreciate quiet and our privacy more than convenience. We decided to anchor out again tonight. Tomorrow we have little choice but to find a place to get supplies.
